SHELBY, Aug 20 - Mrs Esther McBrayer, 73, died this afternoon at her home following heart attack. Her death was a great shock, for she had been up about the house this morning. Mrs McBrayer was the widow of Dr Victor McBrayer, prominent physician, who died here 33 years ago. She was one of Shelby's most lovable characters and widely connected.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Paul Webb, Mrs Odus M Mull, and Miss Elizabeth McBrayer of Shelby, and one son, Willie McBrayer of Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held from the residence Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with her pastor, Dr Zeno Wall of the First Baptist church, conducting the service.
