Martha Elizabeth Clapper, of Saxton, R.D., died Aug. 3, 1988, in the Altoona Hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Six Mile Run, the daughter of M. P. and Mary Jane (Reed) Price. In June of 1935, she married Chester A. Clapper, who died Jan. 11, 1965. Two daughters survive: Mrs. Duane (Bonnie) Stinson of Waynesboro and Mrs. Steven (Jodie) Jackson of Huntingdon. One brother, H. L. Dixon of Mifflintown, and one sister, Mrs. Freda Burnett of Boalsburg, survive. Mrs. Clapper owned and operated Clapper's Service Station for a number of years.
