From son Flavius' biography, he was one of five children born to Rev. Thomas and Martha Jane Barrett. I believe some of the children from the 1850 Hopkins County, Texas Census are Flavius L, 14; Ellen M, 12; Monroe J, 8; Leonidas, 4. The three older children were born in Tennessee. Leonidas was born in Missouri, but may be Alcy's child.
