Mr. Capps, son of Alphus and Iva (Callahan) Capps, was born August 17, 1928, in Bolivar, Missouri. He worked in furniture sales for Smith Home Furnishings and was also a cattle/hay farmer. Mr. Capps had been a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Grandin since the 1960's and was also a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Doniphan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Capps served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
On February 22, 1953, he was married to Orvada Dickerson at the First Baptist Church in Doniphan. She survives.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphus and Iva Capps, and one sister, Ethel Headrick.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
