Aliene M. Losey Schlake, 77, of Cincinnati, formerly of Newport, died Monday at her home. She was active with the Charter of Hilltop and Colerain Rainbow Girls, the Hilltop DeMolay and the Eastern Star. She was a member of Pleasant Run Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a Bible school teacher and also served on the board of deacons. She loved to sew, cook and paint. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Carlyle W. Schlake; a son, Gordon Schlake of Hamilton, Ohio; daughters, Terrill Morris of Marietta, Ga.; Cynthia Taylor of Lantana, Fla., and Deanna Carr of Hamilton; a brother, Marvin Losey of Kentucky; a sister, Helen Klink of Newport; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Run Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Cincinnati. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Cincinnati.
