Daniel W. Bailey, 69, of Lima, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 11 in Lima. He was born on September 22, 1942 in Rushville, IN. to the late Wade H. & Mary (McAffe) Bailey.
He spent his early life in Rushville where he was a 1960 graduate of Rushville High School. He joined the US Army and was an E3, serving from 1960-1963. Daniel spent many years in Greenfield and Indianapolis before moving to Lima, OH in 2007.
Daniel did office work for 37 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #150 and the Eagles Lodge both in Rushville, the Oakland Masonic Lodge #140 F&AM, formerly the Cumberland Lodge #726, the Scottish Rite Lodge and was a Past Master of the Murat Shrine in Indianapolis. Daniel was an avid Bridge player.
Daniel was survived by his former wife, Catherine M. Bailey of Indianapolis, a sister, Sally Eilerman of Lima, OH and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a brother, David E. Bailey in 2004.
Masonic funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 14 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit from 1 PM until time of service.
Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
The family would encourage memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
