Mrs. Mary Smith Dies at Boothsville
Mrs. Mary Smith, of Boothsville, widow of Thomas Smith, died yesterday evening at 6:30 o'clock at her home after an illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Smith had been in the best of health but was stricken last Sunday with the disease which caused her death.
She was a pioneer resident of the community in which she resided having spent most of her life on a farm in that vicinity only in the last few years having resided in the town of Boothsville.
Her husband preceded her to the grave 39 years ago and she is survived by three daughters and two sons, namely, Mrs. C. S. Lawson, of Boothsville; Mrs. Frank Parker, of Hepzibah; Mrs. Alonzo Henry, of Boothsville; Charles E. Smith, of Fairmont, and Walter Smith, of Pittsburgh. Two brothers, A. M. Bartlett, of Bridgeport, and Johnson Bartlett, of Barrackville, also survive her.
The deceased was greatly beloved in the community in which she resided and will be greatly missed in the home circle. She had been almost a life long member of the Baptist church at Boothsville and was one of its most devoted members.
