HELEN CATHERINE (CASS) HOOVER, 80, of 65 Bowie Drive, Falling Waters, West Virginia, died on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital.
Born May 27, 1927 in Mt. Union, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Frank Crell Hoover, and Isabelle Kneisley Wilt.
She was retired from W. S. Gibney Florist and Charles A.Gibney Florist.
She was a member of the Washington Square United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Donna Shipley of Hagerstown; nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her cat companion, Fancy, and she also had two other cat companions, Cricket and Tiger who are now deceased.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Gene Hoover; two sisters, Betty Holder and Bonnie Holder; and one brother, Richard Keller Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Jerry Lowans will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
