She was born Dec. 14, 1891, in Washington, a daughter of John W. and Anna F. Chambers Brice.
Mrs. Buchanan was a member of First Christian Church of Washington and Lincoln Chapter No. 112, Order of Eastern Star.
She attended the local schools and Washington Seminary. For 43 years she operated the Parrot Art Shop, retiring a few years ago.
Aug. 22, 1931, she married Gerrit S. Buchanan, who died Nov. 27, 1949.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Orilla Plymire of Mt. Lebanon, and two nephews.

BUCHANAN—Friends of Mrs. Helen Brice Buchanan, 78, 306 Franklin Farms Road, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 1970, will be received in the Platt Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be conduced at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, by Rev. Robert E. Pebley, pastor of First Christian Church. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
