Born in Unadilla to the late James T. and Eva Truluck Dean, Mrs. Cotney was a homemaker and member of Byron Baptist Church, where she was a member of and taught the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Christian Social Ministries food bank.
Survivors include her children, Jack and Diana Cotney of Kennesaw, Russell and Sabra Cotney of Byron and Donna Cotney of Byron; granddaughters, Laura Anne Cotney of Kennesaw and Taylor Lee Cotney of Byron, and brother, T.C. Bush of Roswell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel J. Cotney.
