Joe D. Bishop, 57, of 247 E. Oak St., Parker City, died at 7:09 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 1997, in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
Born Sept. 12, 1939, in Marion, he was a former resident of Logansport, Muncie, Winchester and Knoxville, Tenn.
A Logansport High School graduate in 1958, he was the owner of Total Security in Parker City.
He was a member of Parker City Christ Fellowship Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty L. Bishop; a daughter, Jennifer L. Bishop, New Castle; his mother, Charline W. Bishop, Marion; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry H. and Jo Anne Bishop, Fort Wayne, and Jack D. and Ruth Bishop, Tampa, Fla.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Needham-Storey Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel. (10-27-2012)
