RUSSELL - Domintillia "Tillie" Speere, 88, of Russell died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at the Southwind Hospice Center, Pratt. She was born April 5, 1915, in Gorham to John and Susana Brungardt. (At an early age, she moved to Russell to become a life-long area resident)
She married John Emmett Speere on Oct. 21, 1936. (They settled on a farm northeast of Russell.
In 1984, she moved to Russell. She again became involved in cleaning houses for other people. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and of St. Mary's Guild.) She was a house cleaner (for other people).
Survivors include a son, Larry Speere (and wife Shirley Kruger), Russell; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, (all her brothers and sisters and a great-grandchild).
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (May 13, 2004) at St. Mary Catholic Church, Russell (with Fr. Charles Steier officiating.) Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Russell Funeral Home is in charge.
Memorials are suggested for Masses, to Southwind Hospice, or to a fund for the survival of premature babies.
