Mr. Burns, Stu, as he was fondly called died of complications due to Lou Gehrig's disease, which he was diagnosed with just merely two months prior to his death.
Mr. Burns joined the Navy in 1965 and spent a year in Vietnam, honorably discharged in 1969. In September of 1989 he married Sherry Kennedy.
He is remembered by being unfailingly friendly and respectful to other. He was very proud of his British heritage, he displayed more than a Londoner's impeccable manners, his wife said.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; stepdaughters, Shannon Miesen of Everett, WA, and Jeanne Hendrix of Post Falls, ID; stepson, Eric Martz of Post Falls and two grandchildren.
