Cyrus Jasper Vickery married Mary Anne "Polly" Higginbotham 24 Dec 1868 in Polk Co., Missouri. A daughter Ethel, born ca 1881 in Missouri, appears in their household in the 1900 and 1910 censuses. She married George R. Wood 2 June 1913 in Polk Co., Missouri, and they are listed on the Lee Co., Iowa, census with a daughter Mary I. born ca 1916-1917. The marriage does not appear to have lasted, since, as Mrs. Ethel Wood, she married William Cross 15 Jun 1921, also in Polk Co., Missouri. She and her husband William Cross are enumerated in the 1930 Randolph Co., Missouri census with two children of their own (William V. and Oreen) and Mr. Cross' stepdaughter, Mary I. Wood, Ethel's daughter from her first marriage. Her son, William V., in his social security records gives his middle name as Vickery and his mother's name as Ethel Vickery. Her obituary in the Long Beach Independent, Tuesday, March 27, 1956, lists a sister Bernice Enyart, who is actually Vernice Enyart (a typo, perhaps?), a daughter of Cyrus Jasper and Mary Anne (Higgenbotham) Vickery.
