EVANS Tennie Zella, 101, passed away Monday, May 10, 2004 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born July 31, 1902 in Hindsfill, Arkansas to Jim L. and Mary (Harrison) Stanfill. Zella and her family traveled by covered wagon in 1902 from their home in Arkansas to Chandler, Oklahoma where she lived throughout her schooling days. Zella and her children moved their family to California where she was an office supervisor for the largest shipyard in California during the war. She then went to trade school and became a beautician. She managed the Sally Ann's Beauty Shops for seventeen years before her and her second husband, Lonnie retired in 1969 and moved their family back to Oklahoma. Zella cherished her family and loved to give hugs and was proud to be a five generation family. Zella is survived by one daughter, Edna Hill of OKC; seven grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Bean; her second husband, Lonnie Evans; two daughters, Audie Welch and Juanita Cox; one son, Dewayne Bean; twelve brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren, Linda Bean and Ronnie Cox. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 12, 2004 in the Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. RESTHAVEN FUNERAL HOME S.W. 104TH AT WALKER 691-1661
