V.C. Allison Jr., L&A Railroad Yard Clerk, died unexpectedly at 6 a.m. Monday in a Greenville hospital. He is said to have suffered a heart attack.

Funeral services siwll (sic) will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral chapel. Rev. C.B. Fielder, pastor of Wesley Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.

Born in Emory, July 14, 1916, Mr. Allison was the son of Vernon C. Allison and Hattie Virgie Waters Allison. He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks. At the time of his death he resided at 3203 Henderson.

Surviving are his wife; one son, V.C. Allison III, Denison; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Kimmons, Picton, and Mrs. Bill McGowan, Denison; two brothers, O.H. Allison and George Allison, Wichita Falls. His mother preceded him in death in 1954 and his father died in 1959.

Funeral services for V.C. Allison Jr., were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home. The Rev. C.B. Fielder, pastor of Wesley Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in East Mount Cemetery.

Pallbearers were J.C. Bowen Sr., M.G. Tull, J.L. Foley, C.L. Slappey, R.H. Sumrow and Joe Durrett.
