Alvin J. Dick, beloved husband, father and grandfather, left us to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born in Shafter, Ca.

In 1933 his family moved to Dinuba, Ca., where Alvin attended Dinuba High School.

In 1943 he joined the US Coast Guard and proudly served his country for three years.

In 1949 Alvin married the love of his life, Bunnie Robison. Alvin and Bunnie made their home in Dinuba where they raised three daughters and enjoyed a loving partnership that thrived for 62 years.

Alvin owned and operated Dinuba House Movers for 33 years and was well known throughout the San Joaquin Valley for his work in relocating structures. Alvin was also a farmer and an avid golfer.

He was an active member of Dinuba First Baptist Church and served the church in many capacities over the years.

Alvin loved people and did not hesitate to share the plan of salvation with anyone he met. He wanted everyone to know Jesus and be 'ready to go'.

Alvin was adored by his family and his many friends. He was a living example to us of what a man, husband, and father should be and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his wife Bunnie; his daughters, Cheryl Hansel and her husband Larry of Meridian, Id., Marta Coulter and her husband Jim of Salinas, Ca., and Andrea Ellison and her husband Rick of Selma, Ca.; and his brother, Roy and his wife Margie. Alvin was a loving grandfather to Matt, Kristyn and Mark Coulter, Ryan Hansel and Casie Farnworth, and Olivia and Leah Ellison.

A Celebration of Faith and Hope will be held in his honor at Dinuba FirstBaptist Church, 600 E. Nebraska Ave.in Dinuba, on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon in the Social Hall.

Remembrances may be made in his name to Dinuba First Baptist Church.
