Anna F. Kirk, 89, teacher, died Monday in Siloam Springs, Ark. Visitation 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and service 10 a.m. Friday, both at Hart Funeral Home.

Anna Kirk, the daughter of Crockett and Sadie (Kirk) Freedle, was born September 6, 1922, in Adair County, Oklahoma. On April 9, 2012, she passed from this life in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, seven months and three days. Anna was married to Odene Kirk in Siloam Springs in May of 1946 and to this union was born one son, Kris. Anna received her teaching degree and taught at Westville Public Schools for several years. She loved her family and especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her granddaughters. Her hobbies included gardening and reading. She was a member of Summers Missionary Baptist Church. Those preceding Anna in death include, her parents, Crockett and Sadie Freedle, her husband, Odene Kirk and ten brothers and sisters. Her surviving family includes, her son Kris Kirk and wife, Patty, of Westville; two granddaughters, Charlotte and Louisa Kirk, of Cambridge, MA; brother-in-law, Charles Price, of Siloam Springs, AR; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Paul Young officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
