Bobbie Banister, age 80, of Granite Falls, WA, formerly of Clovis, died Tuesday April 10, 2012, at Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 19th at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton, in Clovis with the Rev. Don Reid officiating. Burial will follow in the Floyd Cemetery, Floyd, NM. Jim Bock, Shane Bock, Aaron Banister, Clay Barton, Keith Worm, and Rod Banister will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jermey Banister, Richard Nichols, and Shane Banister.

Bobbie Jean was born January 18, 1932, in Childress, TX, to Jess Howard and Minnie Eudy Howard. She moved with her family to Portales in 1936 and married Louis Banister July 16, 1948, in Portales. They made their home in Clovis, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She moved to Granite Falls, WA, four years ago to live with her daughter.

Survivors include two sons, Louis (Burniadine) Banister of Waxahachie, TX, and Kerry Banister of Granite Falls, WA; two daughters, Patricia (Steven) McKinney of Brenton, WV, and Teresa Sharick of Granite Falls, WA; one brother, Forest Howard of Santa Fe, NM; one sister, Mary Jo Cherry of Ben Wheeler, TX; sisters-in-law, Vicky Howard and Melzine Worm of Clovis and Alma Silvertooth of Denton, TX; brother-in-law, Chock Banister of Clovis; Eight grandchildren, Louis James Banister, Christopher Sharick, Michael Banister, Nichole Dennis, Aaron Banister, Jeremy Banister, Katrina Foreman, Brandon Banister; 10 great grandchildren, Payton, Conner, Matthew, Joshua, Carleigh, Hayleigh, Aiden, Lily, Bentleigh, and Traeson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, Louis; her parents, Jess and Minnie Howard; her step-mother, Buena; three sisters and two brothers.

Arrangements are entrusted to Muffley Funeral Home.
