Esther was born in Walla Walla, Washington, the daughter of John C. and Cleopatra (Warren) Pershall. She was married in 1940 to Harold Waterer. The couple had three children, Betty, Harold (Dick), and Janice.
Esther was a devoted Chrisitan, who loved God with her whole heart and knew Jesus as her Saviour. She greatly enjoyed being in the outdoors, often alone, time spent observing nature and it's solitude. Mount Rainier was her favorite, and she admired it's immense beauty.
She live in Pierce County for many years. She was a well-known resident of Eatonville, Washington, for many years, where she raised her children, faithfully attended church, and was employed at the bank. She moved to Sumner after her retirement, where she lived for many years; she lived in Puyallup when she passed away.
