CLARKS (Special) — James A. Lowe, 63, of Clarks, died late Thursday in a Pineville hospital after a long illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today.

Officiating in the Clarks Baptist Church will be the Rev. Carvilla [sic Carvelia] Johnston, assisted by the Rev. V. E. Claunch, with interment to follow in Lowe Cemetery under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Surviving Mr. Lowe are his widow, Mrs. Addie Lowe, Clarks; and three sisters, Mrs. Lula Wilson, Urania, Mrs. Pauline Williams, Clarks, and Mrs. Jessie Spear, Bastrop.

Pallbearers will be Frank Parker, Erasters Claunch, Tom Tingle, Henry McGee, Carl Turner, Ralph Humphreys, James McDaniel and Orvill Thorn.
