T.L. Burke, 58, of Route 3, Oneida, passed away Wednesday night, March 28, 1990, at the Oak Ridge Health Care Center. He was preceded in death by his father, W.H. Burke; his wife, Georgia Alene Burke; and by three brothers: Mitchell, Ovia, and Ester Burke. He was a retired employee of Tibbals Flooring Company, and was a skilled craftsman and gunsmith. He was also a member of the Bethalonia United Baptist church. Mr. Burke is survived by his mother, Rilda Thomas Burke of Oneida; two sons: David Burke and wife, Rachel of Calhoun, Ga., and Johnny Burke of Oneida; five sisters: Dorothy Marcum, Alice Hamby, Connie Terry, Elizabeth Boyatt, and Menda Williams; six brothers: Lewis, Howard, J.D., Jesse, Crestin, and Lester Burke, all of Oneida; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Rev. General Calvin Phillips and Rev. Bates Pennycuff officiating. Special music was provided by the Johnnie O'Neal Singers. Burial was in the West Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Chester Burke,Luther Burke, Rick Burke, Norman Burke, James A.
