K.D. Allen, 58, died at Edgecombe hospital, Tarboro, last night at 8:45 o'clock following a stroke of paralysis he suffered 24 hours earlier. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the S.G. Wilkerson and Sons funeral home here by Rev. Clarence Patrick, pastor of Immanuel Baptist church. Burial will follow in Red Banks cemetery. Mr. Allen was born and reared in Pitt County. He moved to Halifax county 20 years ago and lived there until the first of this year, when he moved to Kingsboro, in Edgecombe county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Willoughby Allen; a daughter Miss Mabel Lee Allen of the home; two brothers, J.R. Allen of Greenville and J.T. Allen of Everetts; three sisters, Mrs. N.T. Stokes, Mrs. J.C. Savage, Mrs. W.A. Sermons Sr., all of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers, all nephews, will be Elmo Savage, Alton Allen, W.A. Sermons, Jr., Elmer Ray Sermons, John Hardy Stokes and Clifton R. Stokes.
