Joseph M. Hubbard, 42, of Johnson City passed away Thursday afternoon, September 30, 2010 at his home. After a short bout with cancer, he lost the fight. He was predeceased by his son, his father, step-father and grandparents. He is survived by his life partner, Craig Standish and their companion, Lizzie. His best friend, Wayne Roberts Jr.; his mother, Rose Rought; two sisters, Katie and Ruth; and a brother, Harry, all of Johnson City. Also several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins. The family would like to thank Joe's nurses, Mary and Joy for all their help, understanding and friendship.
Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Inc, 150 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Elvin S. Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Richford, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday at 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903 in Joseph M. Hubbard's memory.
