Died 6:25 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 1989, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 76, a native of Jonesboro and a resident of Denham Springs. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 10 a.m. Tuesday until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by Dr. Joel Lucas. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Survived by a daughter, Marchita Hawkins, Denham Springs; a son, Richard Sullivan, Denham Springs; two sisters, Violet Phelps, Baton Rouge, and Elaine Harper, Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Cullen Shows, Amite, Aubrey Shows, Gonzales, W.P. Shows, Arkansas, and Ellis A. Shows, Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Edwin O. McLaurin; parents,Mr. and Mrs. Francis L. Shows; and two sisters. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
