Margaret L. Christee, 70, of 329 Douglas Court, died Wednesday at Beverly Manor Care Center after a short illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at George L. Gay Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Welsh officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin after noon Friday at the funeral home where an Eagles Auxiliary memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Christee was born March 10, 1913, in Iowa, a daughter of John and Verna (Small) Sakulin. She married Paul E. Harper Feb. 6, 1939, in Davenport. He died in 1970. She later married Jack Christee June 23, 1975, in Las Vegas.
She was formerly employed at Jack and Jill Nursery School in Iowa City. She was a 30-year member of Eagles Auxiliary, and a member of the Pocohontas Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Paul T. Harper of Iowa City, and John of Avila, Calif.; five grandchildren; one sister, Lovell Trussler of Kalona; one brother, Barney Sakulin of Richmond. One husband and one sister died earlier.
