Martha Aalsburg, 65, of Eddyville died Sunday, February 24, 1985 at her home. She was born May 23, 1919 at Pella, the daughter of Martin and Tunie Vander Beek Van Helten.
On May 27, 1944, she was married to Tunis Aalsburg. She was a member of the Faith Community Church in Eddyville.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Russell and Darwin, and one daughter, Beverly Lehman, all of Eddyville; three sisters: Helen Walker and LaBerta Brown, both of Oskaloosa and Pauline McDonough of Des Moines; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Emerson, her parents and one brother.
Funeral Services were Wednesday at 11AM at the Faith Community Church with Rev. Rodney veldhuizen officiating. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery with the Eddyville Funeral Chapel in charge of arrnagements.
Memorials may be made to the Church.
Pall bearers were LeRoy VanHelten, Larry Gordy, Marion Van Helten, Alvin Knoot, John Groenenboom, and Ray Smith.
