Gladys Emlich, 88, of Allen Park, Mich., and formerly of Lima, died Friday in the Baptist Park Convalescent Center, Taylor, Mich., after an extended illness.

Born Feb. 24, 1890, in Auglaize County, she was the daughter of James S. and Effie Lorene Plummer Pepple. She married George Emlich and he died in 1965.

Mrs. Emlich was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert B. (Margaret) Stauffer Kerr of Allen Park, Mich., and Mrs. Dale (Catharine) Armstrong of Havaser Springs, Ariz., 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Pepple of Lakeview and Clinton L. Pepple of Burlington, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Beryl Pepple Monroe of Venedocia.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Chiles and Sons-Laman West Wayne Street Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
