William S ADAMS, eldest son of Heber Whittingham ADAMS and Elizabeth READING-ADAMS, was born July 1st, 1850. Early in life, he confessed Jesus Christ and united with the Presbyterian Church and has lived a faithful and victorious Christian live being true to his God, his conscience, his family and his friends.
"On October 14, 1874, he was united in marriage to Miss Rosealtha JOHNSON, To this happy union were born eight children: Roy, Ray and Neut of near Curryville; Genevieve (Mrs. J, T. WILSON who proceeded him in death just one year ago); Evalena, who died in infancy; Mary

W.,ADAMS of Louisiana and John Quincy ADAMS of San Bernardino, California; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret CHILTONJ and Miss Mamie ADAMS of Louisiana, Mrs. Minnie cash on Galveston, Texas and Mrs. Mary WILSON, of Seattle, Washington.
"Appreciative of loss of so good a man and of the sorrow of his bereaved relatives, we look to Him who doth all things well for comfort, until we shall be reunited with him and all others who died in the faith of the better world above,"
The many friends attended the funeral and the lovely offerings bore silent tribute to the memory of a departed friend.
During the service a quartette composed of Tully REEDS, Dr. A. M. BENNETT, J. G. LEWIS and Robert HENRY sang "God Will Take Care of You", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Garden of Prayer."
The pallbearers were the grandsons, Cyril WILSON on Kansas City, Raymond DAWSON of Guthrie. Mo., Claude WILSON of Ashley, W, T. MYERS, Jr., of Hannibal, Mayo CALWELL of Middleton, Wm. ADAMS, Heber ADAMS and Malcolm ADAMS of Curryville.
