Funeral services for W. B. Blane, 80, well known farmer of the Peedee section of Christian County, were conducted this afternoon at the Harton Funeral Home by the Rev. R. L. Cave. Christian minister. Mr. Blane died yesterday at the home at Pee Dee following a long illness, having been an invalid for five years. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Blane spent his entire life in the same community and was one of the most active members of the Pee Dee Methodist Church for years.
The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bettie Dawson Blane; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Gee, Hopkinsville, Mrs. R. F. Darnell, Howell, and Mrs. Lizzie Carneal, Paducah, and six brothers, Jeff Blane, Charley Blane, Addle Blane, Bennie Blane, John Blane and Robert Blane.

Marker shows birth year of 1850. Death certificate had birth year as 1858 with his wife as the informant. Obituary agrees that his age was 80.
