Thomas C. McMaine, 85, of Lexington, husband of Lillian Higdon McMaine, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006.
A native of Madison County, he was a WW II and Korean War Navy veteran, and the owner of Culligan Water Conditioning in Paris from 1948-1967. After retirement, he farmed in Hawesville, KY and after moving to Lexington, sold on the Lexington Farmer's Market.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, he is survived by his children, Ronald (Linda) McMaine, Salvisa, Julie (Jeff) Evans, Bloomington, MN and Mary Ann (Arnold) Nippert, Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Ben, Angela and John McMaine, David Accola, Cara and Amy Nippert; sisters, Bertrice McMaine, Frankfort and Jane Rose, Irvine.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Sue McMaine; brothers, Kermit, Ray, Elbert, Carl, Robert, Eugene, Ralph and sister, Celeste.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland, conducted by Glenn Gasser, Shane Brown, and Charlie Kerr. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
