Husband of Eliza Dinez/Dinnes (pron.= Dennis). Father of Martha Jane, Hugh Long, Alfred Veal, James, John, Emily, William Edward "Ned or W.E" & Sarah "Sally" Blackwell, & 2 Infants.
Siblings: Brothers of William: Alfred Blackwell of Little Egypt Holler Rd, Ten Mile, TN and brother Joab Blackwell
and sisters: Elizabeth, Manerva, Sarah, Henrietta.
William Died of Pneumonia at his homestead on Upper Concord Rd 1/4 mile from his Mt. Zion Church in the winter just before Christmas tending to his crop & herd; leaving a wife with between 8-11 children. She never re-married and lived thru the Civil War and relocated & returned to re-purchased her own land.
