He was a Navy pilot who served in World War II and the Korean War. He served as a physician at St. Albans Hospital. He was a longtime family physician in Bay Shore, NY.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1947 and Harvard Medical School in 1951.
Survivors include his wife Beverly, daughters, Diane Majtan, Gail Quackenbush, Peggy Maguire & Alison Coccari, sons, Brian & Michael Quackenbush, Brother, Joseph, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher (-2001).
