On the 1930 Census, she was caring for two State Wards: Brenda & Lloyd Silva, ages 15 & 14.
Later that decade, her son married Ruth E. Howard who had twin daughters by another man.
Apparently, both Mother & son were happy to care for stepchildren. Which in the years of the Depression, was remarkable. JT
