Born to Robert and Mary Sherwood in 1858. (or 1857) Appears to be one of two children, as she had an older sister Mary who was two years older than her. She was raised in Morrisania, in Bronx County, NY. She married Richard Walker Van Fleet, and it appears they did not have any children. The last records I have of her was she was living with her husband at the age of 61 in Manhattan in the 1920 census records, then in 1930, she was in Herkimer County at the New York State Masonic Home. (in the census listed as an "inmate", but I believe that this is merely a nursing home.) She is also listed as widowed.
