In September 1867,he was united in marriage to Johanna Klecker in Waterloo...their union was blessed with 11 children, one of whom died in infancy...in 1887, he came with his family to Jefferson...was Superintendant for the poor 2nd District.. he is survived by 5 sons: AlbertF,..Max..Ernest..OrrinT..Benjamin
