Tuesday evening, Oct. 5 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Lawrence Township, Ohio, a daughter of the late
Fred and Mary Best. She attended the New Life Pentecostal Church
on Seventh Street and had been employed at the Pennington Bakery
for 28 years until her retirement in 1972.
Surviving are two sons, Cecil and Albert Sarver, both of Marietta;
two daughters, Julie Martin of Marietta and Thelma Wright of Reno,
Ohio; 14 grandchildren; ;nine great-grandchildren; four sisters,
Bertha Heran of Marietta, Lillie Miller of Newport, Margaret
Hasley of Barlow and Fannie Fleming of Lower Salem, Ohio; and a
brother, Ervin Poole of Carrolton ,Ohio.
Services were held Friday, 1pm in the McClure-Schafer Funeral
Home with Rev. Victor Bentley officiaiting. Burial was in East
Lawn Memorial Park.
