She was born October 18, 1908 in Payson, Utah to William and Nellie Houghton Bills. Her parents died when she was 12 and she lived with relatives in Idaho and Utah. She graduated from Provo High School and attended BYU. Marie married Bert Kimball Bullock on January 16, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bert died October 9, 1990.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities, in Sunday School, Primary, and 10 years as a counselor in the Relief Society. She was a member of the BYU International Relations Committee and a member of the Lambda Tall Club for 60 years.
She met life's challenges with courage and strength and was deeply loving and devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an inspiration to her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Jane (Dick) Maires, Richard B. (Kay Lynne) Bullock, and Steven K. (Sue Ann) Bullock; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Lambert in California.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 19, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Provo 8th Ward LDS Chapel, 502 East 200 No. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening or one hour prior to services at the ward chapel. Interment will take place at the Provo City Cemetery.
