Jewel Frances Adkins

Jewel Frances Adkins, a resident of Dothan, died peacefully at her residence on Thursday April 5, 2011. She was 101.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. Monday, April 9, 2011 from the Chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Coley M. Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Enterprise City Cemetery, Enterprise, AL with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 P. M. prior to the service.

Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her husband James Early Adkins, Sr.; her Grandsons, Thomas Early Adkins and infant Phillip David Adkins; Sisters Carmen Wentworth, Dot Pence and Floy Austin and her Brothers, Coy and Harry Adkins.

Survivors include her Son, James Early Adkins, Jr. and wife Merle of Dothan; Grandsons, James Bruce Adkins of Dothan and Michael Garner Adkins of Cullman, AL.

Sisters, Martha Jane McCall and husband Mike of Dothan, and Lois Lindsey of Pensacola; Brother, Hubert Adkins of Opelika; Grandchildren, Kacie Lynn McCall of Dothan, Emily Jewell Adkins, Tessa Marie Adkins and Samuel Phillip Adkins and their mother, Amber Marie Adkins, all of Cullman.

Nephews, Coy Adkins and wife Katie of Opelika, AL, Rudy Adkins and wife Brenda of Grapevine, TX, John Adkins and wife Loretta of Birmingham and Harry Adkins and wife Rita of Kingtree, SC.

Nieces, Janice Collier and Mary Ann Banks of Pensacola.
