CAPPS FUNERAL TO BE SATURDAY
Funeral services for Aaron G. Capps, 90, who died at a local hospital at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, will be held at the Sunshine Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Rev. John N. Wrenn, Dr. Paul Beacham and the Rev. Charles W. Butler will officiate. Interment will be in the Paris Mountain Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Capps was a native of Henderson County, North Carolina, a son of the late Aaron and Janie Mayburn Capps. He had lived in Greenville 55 years and was a carpenter until his retirement several years ago.
His wife, the late Mrs. Sarah Jones Capps died November 23, 1951.
He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and of the Men's Bible Class of the Sunday School, where he was active as long as his health permitted.
Surviving are 1 daughter; Mrs. L. A. Rhodes, and a son, G. S. Capps, both of Greenville; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the last member of his immediate family.
The body will remain at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home until one hour before the service, when it will be carried to the church to lie in state.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. A. Rhodes, 5 Congress Street, Sans Souci.
