Alvin James Schrimsher: Preceded in death by both of his parents James and Maggie Schrimsher, and Dorothy Nell Schrimsher his wife of 55 years, and their daughter Betty S. Acklin. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jim Fletcher of Plano; his granddaughter and her husband, Abbie Acklin-Johnson and Michael Johnson; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Acklin of McKinney; sisters Gladys Fitzgerald and Hazel Yost; nephew James Fitzgerald and wife Karol, all of Fort Worth. A.J. served his country in the Army in World War II from 1944-1946 as Staff Sergeant. After his honorable discharge his commitment to serve continued through his dedication to his family. He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
