Vicki Ann (Bilyeu) Bodden, 62, of Decatur, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Decatur IL.
Visitation will be Monday April 9, 2012, 5-7pm. Funeral Service will be Tuesday April 10, 2012, 10:30 am with visitation 1 hour prior. Both will be held at Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Assumption. Pianist: Beth White.
Vicki was born January 19, 1950 in Assumption, the daughter of Earl Wallace and Virginia Sue (Liston) Bilyeu. She married Richard Bodden on August 14, 1971.
She attended New Beginnings Church of God, Decatur.
Vicki was a stay-at-home mom before joining with her husband in starting Bodden Insurance where she was an agent and secretary for 14 Years. Her love for music was a major part of her life from her early days of singing and playing instruments with her siblings to her willingness to accompany on the piano/organ for various church and school events. She also spent many enjoyable years developing and coordinating the local soccer program. In her later years her grandkids were of great encouragement to her.
Surviving are her husband Richard, son Travis (Jill) Bodden all of Decatur; daughters Tami (Brandon) Simmons of Moweaqua and Amber Bodden of Decatur; grandchildren Haley and Brooks Bodden, and Paige and Brayden Simmons; brothers Don W. (Lynne Kaye) Bilyeu of Assumption, Danny Bilyeu of Sarasota, FL and Ron Bilyeu of Decatur; sisters Linda (Lonny) Gilpin of Taylorville and Patty (Raymond) Barding of Decatur; 9 nieces and 2 nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents
