George Duncan, son of the late Andrew and Hanna Jane (Taylor) Crumbaker was born at Onaga, Kansas, January 19, 1900 and passed away at his home near Lawrence, April 11, 1938.
He was married to Claire Finney at Pomona, Kansas, June 10, 1933. To this union one child, Corrine, was born who with the wife survive.
He spent most of his life near Manhattan, Kansas.
He united with the Methodist church at Onaga while young. After marriage he and his wife transferred their membership to the Methodist Episcopal church at Manhattan, of which he was a member at the time of his death.
Other relatives who survive are his mother, Mrs. A. J. Crumbaker, Manhattan; two brothers, Charles Andrew of Onaga and James Williams of Tempe, Arizona; five sisters, Edith of Fort Riley, Margaret of Denver, Colo., Ethel wife of Earl Needham of Onaga, Mary wife of Wilfred Johnson, Cleburne, and Gladys, wife of Merle Morris of Newton and many other relatives and friends.
Those from Onaga attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bonjour and daughter; Mrs. F. A. Brown; Mr. and Mrs. Armand Bonjour; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Dunn; Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Tessendorf; Mrs. Dronberger and Mrs. Elsie Frezieres; Earl Needham and wife and Charlie Crumbaker and family.
