Mr. Francis Alexander, 91, died April 1, 2012, at his residence. Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Calvary Baptist Church in Pricedale and 10 a.m. Wednesday until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Cletus Moak and the Rev. Thomas Wicker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Alexander was born March 22, 1921. He was the son of David Alexander and Alice Dunaway Alexander.

He was a lifelong resident of Pricedale and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was retired from Croft Metals and served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Toy Alexander; a sister, Pearline Alexander; and a grandson, Clayton James Wicker.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Thornhill Alexander; daughters, Ginger (James) Wicker of McComb, Mary McCaa of Pricedale, Bridget (James) Davis of Prentiss and Debbie (Jimmie) Willoughby of Pricedale; a sister, Montee Bowman of Pricedale; grandchildren, Robin (Ron) Yates, Chris (Bobbie) Wicker, Corey Wicker, Jonathan (Tina) McCaa, Holly McCaa and fiancé Bentley Spears, Pam (Scott) Terry, Melanie (Luke) Martin, James (Kim) Davis Jr. and Dawn (Chris) Reed; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Wicker, Corey Wicker, Ron Yates, Jonathan McCaa, James Davis Jr., Scott Terry and Luke Martin.

Honorary pallbearers are Chris Reed, William Earl Alexander, David Alexander Jr. and Charles Dunaway.
