Edwin Burnett Larson, Jr. was born March 6, 1927, on the family farm near Boyd, Minnesota, to parents Edwin and Elizabeth (Aakre) Larson. He was baptized April 10, 1927, and confirmed June 7, 1942, both at Trinity Lutheran of Boyd. He attended the Boyd Public School and graduated as Valedictorian of his class.
Edwin and Clarice Virginia Bue were united in marriage at Granite Falls, Minnesota, on September 2, 1950. This marriage was blessed with six children: Dian, Judy, Curt, Dean, Lorraine, and Ray
Ed and Clarice farmed near Boyd their entire life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church (serving on the church council), and the Farmers Union. Ed enjoyed going to auctions and sales barns. He liked to shop, enjoyed story telling, and family camp-outs and being with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Edwin passed away at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, Minnesota, on Saturday, January 5, 2002, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 2 days.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice; and his children and families: Dian (and Lynn) Wiebe, Judy (and Dave) Olson, Curt, Dean (and Brenda), Lorraine (and Cliff) Estlie, and Ray (and Karen). Also surviving are his grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings: Delores Nelson, Betty (and John) Wanke, Arlene Wanke, Roy (and Ruby) Larson, and Roger (and Ingrid) Larson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Larson.
