Obituary-Ruth Gibbs, age 74, of Hamilton, passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:53 AM. She was born in Morning Sun, Ohio on January 24, 1933 the daughter of Robert and Sally (Friend) Tharp.
Ruth was a 1951 graduate of Camden High School. She was a member of Hamilton Christian Center. Ruth married Stanley Gibbs on March 7, 1959 in Hamilton. He preceded her death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marshall and Leon Tharp; and two sisters, Virginia Beach and Leona Tharp.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Johnny Wade Sloan of Hamilton Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
