Mr. Carpenter's son, the Rev. Gary Carpenter of Chelan, Wash., will assist in the services. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
An Anaconda, Mont., native, Mr. Carpenter was an area resident 43 years. He was a member of Beacon Chapel and the Teamsters Union.
He died Friday at his home.
Surviving, in addition to the Rev. Carpenter, are his wife, Alyce, at the home; two daughters, Sandi and Syndi, both of Spokane; a son, Terry, Rigby, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. JoAnne Castle and Mrs. Callema Adams, both of Spokane; two brothers, James Carpenter and Charles Carpenter, both of Spokane; and four grandchildren.
