The son of John & Eleanor (Baskin) Pickens of Augusta Co VA, Israel married:

1) Elizabeth Baskin on 6 Mar 1768 in Abbeville District SC, the daughter of William & Mary (Stewart) of Ireland and late of Abbeville District SC. Elizabeth and Israel are first cousins; her father and his mother were siblings. Elizabeth died prior to 1790.
2) Widow Sarah (Hall) DeJarnette on 11 Mar 1790 in Pendleton District SC; she died 12 Feb 1814.
3) Lucinda Walden in 1812 in SC; she died in 1819. Most likely this is her surname from a prior marriage.
4) Widow Sarah (Williams) Bevil on 4 Aug 1823 in Anderson District SC.

In the name of God amen I Isrel Pickens of the stat and District aforesaid Being of sound and Disposing mind and memory But weak in body and Ca;ing to mind the uncertainty of life and Being Desirous to Dispose of all such Worldy Estate as it has Pleased God to Belss me with I do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in the manner and form as is under Writen -
I Reinquish a Deed of gift given to my oldest Children I give and intail to my Daughter Elisabeth steward a Negro girl named Winna and all her increase if Elisabeth Steward never has any Children then at her Death this negro Winna and her increase to Be sold and Equally Devided among all my Children likewise I Bequath to my Daughter metilda and to my Daughter Sally Williams one Negro girl Named Rachel and her increase my too Daughters to have this Negro Rachel year a bout and if this Negro Rachel have Children they are to have Child about likewise I give to my too Daughters Sally Williams and to Metilda fifty Dollers for the use of Chooling Sally Williams is to Be spent until shee can Read well then the Ballance of the fifty Dollers to teach her as far as it will go then all my Children to help her on as much as they are able I Do Bequath to my Grand Children the of springs of Dilly and Rebecka the trackt of Land whire I formely Lived on Rocky River all the Ballance of my Estate to Be sold and my jest Debts paid and Funeral Expenses the fifty Dollers taken therefrom for the use of Choolen Sally & Andrew and the Ballance of the mony Risen therefrom to Be Equally Devided amongst my Dear Wife and Children and those of my Children that have Rec'd mony of my Estate to be made Equal with those that have Rec'd a part - - - my son John have Rec'd - - - a Negro man to the value of Six hundred dollers one Trackt of Land to the amount of too hundred Dollers one gray mare to the Value of Sixty Dollers William Rec'd one Trackt of Land to the amount of too hundred and fifty Dollers one one Bay horse to the value of Thirty five Dollers too Cows and Calves at Thirty Dollers.
