Bonzetta "Bonnie" D. Ash-Hale, 44, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005. She is survived by her devoted husband, Julian B. Hale. A native of Tallahassee, she was a member of Griffin Chapel Primitive Baptist Church until she moved to Orlando in 1995. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Oviedo near Orlando. She worked for the University of Central Florida's human-resources department. She is survived by a nephew who was like a son, Eric Johnson of Tallahassee; her mother, Melvin A. Robinson (and husband Reginald) of Tallahassee; her father, John H. Ash Jr. of Tallahassee; three brothers, Kevin Ash (and wife Shar'ron), Keith Ash (and wife Sherell) and John Ash III (and wife Deborah), all of Tallahassee; eight sisters, Bridgette Ash, Angela Ash, Mona Lisa Ash, Alisha Ash, Camille Ash and Nealy Ash, all of Tallahassee, Heather Ash of Thomasville, Ga., and Connie Ash of Montezuma, Ga.; her grandparents, Lula Brown, Pearlie Mae Brown and John Henry Ash Sr., all of Tallahassee; six aunts, Lula Seals (and husband John), Earnestine Cooper, Patricia Brown, Beatrice Alston (and husband Glenn), Sadie Ash and Maggie Deadweilder (and husband Willie), all of Tallahassee; two uncles, Connie W. Brown (and wife Carrie) of Washington, D.C., and Matthew C. Ash of Tallahassee; a goddaughter, Michelae Adams of Tallahassee; a godson, Alton Curry of Tallahassee; and a host of nieces, nephews, godsisters, cousins and sorrowing friends.

The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Friday at Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST today at Strong & Jones Funeral Home (850-224- 2139).
