Wanda P. Kaliszewski, 77, of Worthington, formerly of Ford Cliff, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospice Unit, Cabot. She was born April 13, 1930, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Myrtle A. (Upperman) Bishop, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She formerly worked at Sears in Kittanning, and was a member of the former St. Francis of Paola and the Red Hats. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time with family and her dog, Cream Puff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander W. Kaliszewski, who died Nov. 3, 1989; brothers, George, Earl, Merle, Joseph, Leroy and Harry; and sisters, Francis Stakas, Ruth Rice and Nora Bell Gerarld. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Kostek, of Ford City, Alexis Beers, of Slate Lick, Alice Micciche and husband Roger Sr., of Taneytown, Md., and Alana Flaherty, of North Port, Fla.; brother, Charles Bishop and wife, Helen, of Florida; sister, Leona Rumburger and husband, James, of Ohio; five grandchildren, Ted Beers, Brian Kostek, Todd Beers, Kelly Anne Kostek and Todd Kostek; and four great-grandchildren, Haley and Courtney Beers and Trista and Zach Clouse. Visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. Vigil for the deceased 8:45 p.m. Thursday and a prayer for the transfer of the body will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, both in the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Prince of Peace with Father Edward Lewis as celebrant. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery.
